Match Making Playlist Ideas

I think us competitive players will all agree that this game is not as fun as previous halos their is to many social playlist and not enough ranked. 343 has completly changed this game hoping to get a larger fan base from casual gamers and players that are new to halo. They made a big mistake by ignoring their true fan base and making the game to social. But i have some ideas for 343 to improve this game.

<mark>Team Action Sack: For binary slayer no unlimited thruster pack. Lower Movement speed and adjust jump height to make you jump not so high. Get rid of lightning flag!</mark>
<mark>Flood: Remove Thruster Pack and active camo keep Promethean Vision Improve shotgun range,make the flood die if they get shot in the head once, use community flood maps last spartan alive gets a over shield.</mark>
<mark>V.I.P: Keep same settings from halo reach.</mark>
<mark>Infinity Slayer: Remove Complex make it a big team infinity slayer map. Keep rest the same.</mark>
<mark>Big Team: No sticky grenades allowed in loadout they must be picked up off the map.</mark>

<mark>These Adjustments to big team infinity slayer will make vehicle control a priority instead of camping in a spot with your light rifle and dmr shooting people that run by using active camo. No sticky grenades in loadout will allow vehicles like warthogs to last longer and be more reliable. No active camo will force players to stop camping. Mobility removed will force players to find a vehicle to use to get around the map.</mark>

Ranked vs Social playlists are completely unnecessary. Period. People really need to understand that having them only creates a duplication of existing playlists. The only differences between Ranked and Social playlists has to do with displaying verses hiding your playlist skill calculation and having a stricter search parameter verses a looser one. All playlists are competitive, it’s the nature of the game, but you can argue that refining the parameter to pair players of a closer playlist skill rank allows for better competition.

Now, if the game presented a search option that allowed a player to prioritize their search parameters based on their preference for a tighter skill pairing, better connections, or the quickest search possible (default), then there’s an opportunity for players to customize the search process in a similar fashion to having Ranked vs Social playlists, but it’s done without requiring a playlist duplication, which in turn reduces the chances of incurring extra long search ques since it would be drawing from one concentrated user base instead of a fractured user base.

Then combine this matchmaking customization option with a playlist offering such as this one and an in-game CSR idea such as this one and you have yourself a pretty good Halo game. The only other thing left would be to present a more ideal weapon balance and possibly re-imagine the method of having personal ordinance drops, maybe something like this though I can think of even better ideas for changing the implementation of personal ordinance drops into a Halo game.
