This update is honestly one the best ones they’ve done to date. I’ve been able to play what games I want, when I want to and it’s so nice not having to be forced to play Halo 3 and Halo 4 all the time. I like them both just not all the time. I actually get a chance to play Halo 2 Classic/Anniversary big team, even though the wait times can be a little long it’s still by far better than what the game had before.
I know I would rather have a bit longer wait times for games I actually want rather than fast times for games I don’t necessarily want. My favorite search is HCE, H2, H2A, for slayer, snipers, and action sack. Haven’t had long wait times and getting good variety. I haven’t tried searching 8v8 just yet but plan too soon.
I just wish there was a FFA option other than infection.

Agreed.
FFA should absolutely be an option. And not just for infection.
Good idea and seems to work well.
I love Match Composer as well. One thing I can’t figure out though is why I still have so many people quit out right at the beginning or before the match starts… If you didn’t want to play that game/mode, you should’ve removed it! I think that with Match Composer out, they should make quitting penalties stricter as there is even less reason for quitting now. I have never thought people should quit but the only real acceptable forms of quitting (if you are still going to keep playing) is accidentally being AFK too long and getting booted, or getting lagged out/game crashing/Xbox crashing. Obviously if you have to quit out for times’ sake that’s fine too, but that doesn’t involve the “keep playing” thing. They still should implement join in progress to Social matches though even with Match Composer.
I agree with some others, FFA should be an option.

Ya some people i guess they just don’t know what they want lol. I think they did make the penalties slightly stricter with the update or just before not 100% sure though. If so hopefully it will help stop the amount of quitters. As for FFA i know there is Halo 3 lone wolves but I agree as well that there should be FFA for all the games
Now all we need is that Custom Game Browser and we’ll be set.
Match Composer is amazing. I felt like playing some H4 BTB tonight. I queued up, and found 5-6 games in under 2 minutes each. I’m happy to see that H4 BTB is still popular in MCC match composer.
Huge thank you for Match Composer, 343! This makes MCC far more enjoyable.
I hope 343 finds a creative way to turn this match composer / MCC project into an ongoing Halo Online service. Once infinite drops, Halo 5 should be added to the rebranded ‘Halo Collection’. This way, all Halo games are cored up to a unified area to keep population strong.
Same here, OP, although I am hearing that the population for the ranked playlists is very low now. As a social player, though, being able to choose exactly what I want to play and finding a game in less than a minute is just phenomenal. I really hope that the Match Composer is an idea for Infinite that 343i is testing on the MCC. because I’m hearing very positive fan feedback like my own, and I would love to see the Match Composer again in infinite.
