Call it farming, call it bad communication, call it a drastic skill gap; call it what you want, the Matchmaking system for this game is horrendous. I’m either on a lopsided winning team (more like a Legendary REQ) or a excruciatingly painful losing squad (sounds bout right). But, I’ll get the random (1 out of every 3.5 games, .5 cause I’ll probably quit that one, yep) Join In Progress Boost and land in the back end of a game, not even with much of a chance to do diddly-squat to effect the match’s conclusion.
I play solo, I got a partner, I got 10, I got 12, the matchmaking just increases the level of competition by triple! Biggest issue is solo play, I’m one guy, no matter how much I do, if the other 12 have no general coordination then its a lost cause. I can talk on the mic, but…I usually mute the entire lobby (oh that’s if I can, cause that’s a hit or miss in itself) cause it’s one thing to communicate, it’s another to just spit random nuances like chomping and merengue to a group of people from Jersey…(hey, that’s kind of like the communication between us and three forty-three).
How about a map without a home base? That’d force someone over there to plan better spawn points than in the back of two corners with no other exit. But I could be opening a whole new can of worms here, cause then we get into spawn location picking, forcing spawn points, blah blah blah, the possibilities are endless with…you know who unwillingly at the wheel not wanting to look at the fiery pile up glistening through the rear view mirror.
I tried out each search preferences, and almost all led to me a different measurement of getting my behind whooped, slow-and-easy or quick-and-painful. At this point, how many new players can there possibly be that the main idea and strategy behind Warzone is still lost upon the collective majority? Are there any tutorials available? Do people not understand 25 VP points does not equal 150 VP points? Oh…I forget, it’s not the way the boss system is set up, its the amount of bosses that we encounter that needs to be updated…
Am I forcing myself to believe this fun? That I enjoy the idea that my screen lags every 30 seconds to 3 minutes, I can’t enter my REQ station, and my team is fighting over who gets to leave next? Is this a rant or is this a serious issue (anyone at the studio ever heard of Team Balancing? Oh wait can’t use that cause there’s no restriction on fire teams vs single players.) I try to stay in most games that I enter from the start, but my DNF% is climbing and so is my loss ratio and I’m running out of patience, it’s gotten to the point where I can ruin my day trying to play Halo 5, or just not even go near it.
