Or do you think they will save it for the Spartan Ops season 1 finale.
Spartan Ops takes place on Infinity and Requiem. However, The Master Chief appears to be back on earth so I doubt he will make an actual appearance in Spartan Ops Season 1. But I could very easily be wrong.
I do like it how they mention him from time to time though. It links the stories of the Halo 4 campaign and Spartan Ops nicely.

The ending cutscene shows his armour getting removed on the Infinity, so unless I missed something he’s probably there. I’d like to see him as a one man fireteam.
That’s a good point. I was thinking along the lines of, Dr Halsey on episode 7 when she said that John “was” on this ship. The past tense makes me assume that he is no longer on it (but then again, maybe he is but she just doesn’t know that either).
Probably the end of the season if anything, because of the surprise/ twist that would happen in the storyline.

4 months have passed since then. the de-brief probably over but he can’t be looking for cortana when he didn’t get on the Infinity Ship.

It’s the first mention of him in SpOps and I’d love to see him in a cutscene if even only briefly. I’ll be fine with them not letting us play as him and only keeping it for Campaign, if they’re so bent on making multiplayer and SpOps canon it’d be hard to explain 4 117’s running around.

Exactly for sp ops we should not play as mc only fight along side him, but in halo 5 and 6 campaign we PLAY as mc.
The issue is I see with Chief being in Spops is that he would need new armor, and I don’t think 343 would introduce Chiefs new armor in a spops episode. They would leave that for Halo 5.
I think if they do introduce him into SpOps then it should only be in the CGI cutscenes, the friendly AI would make a mockery of him, like they did the Arbiter.
I think it’d be cool if he was in a cutscene then you play alongside him, although not directly. Kinda like when Crimson and Majestic worked together on similar objectives but in different locations (can’t remember which mission ep 2?)
Send Chief to one (maybe with blue team!) and we go to the other and through the com have it lay out that he’s kicking our -Yoink- on his own like how Crimson beat Majestic

This makes the most sense. As they didn’t give us real MC armor for multi, and SpOps is running off that code, we will never see him in game as new armor CANNOT be implemented.

Why would he need new armor? Cortana just modified his while he was in Cryo between the end of Halo 3 and start of Halo 4…just because it was taken off for a brief break at the end of halo 4 doesn’t mean he needs new armor already. I mean, he used the same armor throughout Halo 2 and 3, I think he’ll do just fine with the same armor throughout Halo 4-6.

…whut? Seeing him taking his armor off doesn’t mean he’s getting a new one for Halo 5!
