Masterchief fights agianst the Forerunner’s what did you think?
I would have put my life on it being the Precursors, but it’ll be cool still.

The title of the OXM says Masterchief faces the Forerunner’s, not Masterchief fights against the Forerunner’s…
I think this is an important detail!
There are multiple factions of forerunners.
One which could very well be allied with the precursors.
Ugh…I just know I’m going to be annoyed every time someone posts “BUT I THOUGHT FORERUNNERS WERE GOOD/I THOUGHT WE WERE FIGHTING THE PRECURSORS!!!11”
Nothing is that cut and dry.

It says “adversary”, which blows your idea out of the water.
But it’s fine because not all forerunners are good.
Remember that the forerunners made clone’s of alot of lifeforms after firing the ring’s,although FR were adavanced they struggled to deal with the flood,so what if they made an hybrid alien race to be more effective against the flood.What if the cheif fights the FR because they think he some sort of a threat but soon realise he’s the anwser and team up very quickly against a far more advanced race who created the flood?.What about animals and beasts where are all these in the Halo games,i’d imagine enemy’s of the cheif would use some rabid beast on a chain for hunting or flying on or even mind meld with some of nature’s finest.
The covenant were a small ripple in a larger pond of life.

Not really. Someone could be an adversary, without being the enemy. Adversary just means that your goals don’t align, which brings about conflict. Not necessarily conflict of the “Unleash the Kraken!” variety. Political, social, economical, one could be an “adversary” to another group through all of those things.

You’re reaching, but okay.
From the beginning we know that we will meet the Forerunners, but if we are really fighting them or their machines is not confirmed.
I can imagine that there are faction’s which are evil or good. Nevermind, I will destroy every enemy that is a threat to Cortana or to Masterchief or to the whole universe.^^

The Forerunner’s what? What thing belonging to which Forerunner?
I don’t mind much. I was expecting them anyways.
Forerunners or Precursors hmmm…
I still think that it’s going to be the Precursors…
While I can believe that we will fight some Forerunners in the game as the cover seems to hint. I still think that the Precursors will be introduced in the same way that the Flood were.

I’m sure John will be fighting various former Covenant factions, certain human factions, a certain Forerunner faction, and at least one Precursor throughout the course of the game.
