With that in mind, I ask the 343 webteam to change the Master of Unicorns rank to Orbital Shock Trooper. It’s fits with the ranking theme you have here and would be appreciated by those, pre-343 Halo fans, who currently have the MoU rank. I feel like a -Yoink!- with this title.
‘The future’ is pretty inclusive. It is literally now all the way up until the end of time. Plenty of time to fix the issue.
There is already a Rank of ODST - so that would be awkward.
Nobody is going to think any different of you or your posts because of your user title.
Just ignore, it, 90% of users don’t even notice it or care to read into it.

All you needed to do was poke an admin, and say “Hey! I’m still a MoU, can I have rank fixed?”, and they’ll fix it, hell most of us who had the MoU glitch ended up with it sorting itself out on it’s own. How do I know this? Because Me, Moa, and a few other oldies was once “I am Stuck” or “Master of Unicorns” at first.
I’ve been a master of unicorns since I signed up for the site, that was something like three? four years ago?
Oooh! Can I be a “Master of Unicrons”, too?
Or wait … what about “Queen of Butterflies” or “Sun Princess”?

As the Forum Team account implied, ranks can be changed manually.
If you get to the Spartan rank (based on post count) and are a Master of Unicorns, you can then PM an admin and ask for a rank fix (which will be necessary to unlock signature functionality as a reward for your activity).
If you’re not worried about yourself and just want to see a different name in place of “Master of Unicorns”, then you can accomplish that with a userscript, assuming you’re on Firefox, Chrome, or maybe Opera. Our userscript thread contains a “Master of Unicorns Fix”, and I can talk you through editing it to use whatever replacement text you want.

Master of Unicorns has been around for about a year, so I’m going to have to call your bluff.
I wish I could be a Master of the Singular Cone Apparatuses. It would make sense given my current armor choice!
I really care not for rank. I was on Bungie.net since like 2003 and never got above heroic.
