Is Master Chief who we think he is? Is there a greater purpose for him? Could this secret effect the plot of Halo 5: Guardians? Well, Halo5follower thinks that he has the answer. Check out this link and let me know about your thoughts and reactions about it here.

Im not gonna watch it but i think chief going AWOL is him searching his purpose, searching for answers and trying to understand the librarians plan. However i am completely against the fact that he is trying to revive cortana.
He also belives that chief has the imprint of the Iso-Didact. At first i believed that but there is multiple factors that do not support this claim.

If the Geas of the Iso-Didact existed in John-117. Why didnt it appear in other humans in the past. I do find it hard to believe John was the only person who has/had it. Making me not believe the imprint theory.
I recommend you watch HaloCanon over HaloFollower if you want properly explained and thought out canon theories.

But as others have said. When did the Librarian have the time extract and copy the geas of the iso-didact. Also as others have said, no humans have been given forerunner geas, all humans that were given geas were given human geas
You don’t need to watch a video to see issues with a theory. When Bornstellar was imprinted he ended up acting on the Didact’s behalf, same probably being done by the Didact as he got the Confirmers imprint. They more or less became whoever (Forerunner) gave them the imprint.
(brevet) Mutations require numerous machines and several hours to enact. Unless 343I is going with a brevet-brevet mutation which can be done with a snap and blinding lights, i don’t think so.
We don’t even know if Humans share enough DNA with Forerunners for their mutations to work. What stops MC from becoming some gross Human-Forerunner hybrid?
There are too many unknowns on a situation we don’t understand. Knowing 343I it probably is some half–Yoink- mutation but any “theory” out right now has too little data to be taken seriously.
Halo Follower is usually only right when he has real solid evidence, he says all these theories that typically come out as false.
When has halofollower ever been right???
He also used events from halo reach instead of using the Fall of Reach on his video of cortana so his legitimacy should be put into question.
He also called turian concept art a “precursor” so i am highly suspicious of anyone that actually likes his videos.
Also where did this ‘humans and forerunners were one species called the inheritors’ come from i only heard about this theory from halo follower
I forgot where the source is but I do remember Dr.Halsey saying that Johns DNA was unusual… I think in her journal when her and F.Mendez were discussing Spartan leaders. That’s what I think about when I seen that halo 4 librarian cutscene…

Bungie wasn’t too sure if they wanted Humans to be descended (or related) to Forerunners early on. The original Book trilogy has Spartans expressing familiarity with Covenant/Forerunner tech, just knowing how to use it without remember why. But that officially ended with IRIS as Humans and Forerunners were shown as separate species.
343I then expanded on Bungie’s idea by having the two as distant relatives in the Forerunner Saga.

Don’t ever recall his DNA being any more special than the other Spartan IIs.

Ok fair ebenough but why the name inheritors, where on earth did that come from.
Probably just made it up. Just like there is Reclaimers, Forerunners, Precursors. They’re all titles regarding ancestry and passing things down. I believe the forerunner saga has used the phrase “inheritors of the mantle” and such, as well as the flood inheriting the precursor’s rage. It never uses it as a species label though.
The name’s been chucked around a few names on these boards, usually in completely wild fan theories.
Well “Forerunner” and “Precursor” are technical titles as well.
Perhaps I worded that wrong. I mean that Inheritor as a title for a species follows a similar theme that Forerunner, Precursor, and Reclaimer does. This is why Inheritor pops up in theories.
But the books do not use the term Inheritor in the same way it does the ‘actual’ titles.
No, i got what you were saying and was following up.
Bornstellar notes in Cryptum that “Forerunner” was just a term of living time in which others would come after them. They just seem to have adopted such a term as a name for their species.
