Is it me or is the dialogue Master Chief has just not as witty as he was. In Halo CE, 2 and 3 he had his dry wit. Maybe I am forgetting - I have not seen any of that in the new games. They more so focus on better storytelling (a great task) than being comedic.
I think that after all the things that he saw, felt and the loss of Johnson and Cortana, made Chief more sad and closed to himself.
Some of his friends survived but he lost a lot of things in those years.
He’s really becoming a machine, just like Cortana said in Halo 4.
I agree with Pasty, but I agree if he would have some kind of banter with the new AI that would be awesome.

Wow. That seems so obvious now. Nicely put. But levity like old times… always a fun part of the characters.
He has a few in H4, so I think it comes down to an issue with the writing team for H5.
Hopefully he becomes more witty after spending time with blue team in 5 after what chief went through in 3 and 4
Yea everyone has a good point in why it might be the voice actor behind chief Idk his name got a little tired from doing him for at least 20 years. Also HD where did you get that profile pic

That has nothing to do with it.
Unlocked it somehow. I forget. Sorry.
In his defense, he’s been through some stuff. He’s seen some things, been on the brink of death numerous times, saved humanity a bunch of times. I’d lose my wit after a bit, too.
