Master Chief’s missing parts such as the cod piece suggest some sort of problem arose whilst in space. Does it insinuate MC wasn’t cryogenically asleep the whole time? Has he already been awake for some time to deal with the new problems? How long was he in ‘sleep’ for before ‘problems’ arose?
Wow you’re really outdated aren’t you?
His armor didn’t change while in cryo. Enough said.
Also he does hav e a cod piece
Old cod piece had to be removed after he had a little ‘accident’ after the portal closed on their half of the ship. Cortana’s not too happy about it since he tasked her with getting the stains out.
i dont know what your smoking … but the codpiece isnt there.

I see a dark greenish painted codpiece. I don’t know what images you’ve been looking at. I guess I’m smoking the good stuff.
My theory on the changes is simple. Mostly it’s artistic license but it’s also the result of repairs conducted by the Chief and Cortana.

Please read the thread I posted earlier in this thread. Short answer: Repairs for Mark VI in cryo isn’t possible.
Now I’m sure that 343i wanted to come up with a new look for the armor for artistic license, so they gave him new armor. This would be alright with the canon. I also love the new armor. It actually looks like a power suit.
Disregard the H4 reveal trailer. Not only is that armor now out of date but it doesn’t make any sense. I suspect H4 will explain the change and that the H4 trailer with John in the cryotube will be labeled as artistic license and not something to be considered canon.

Never mentioned repairs in cryo. He could easily get out of the cryo tube, in fact, awhile ago 343 said that Halo 4 isn’t necessarily the first time John has stepped out of the tube.

Good one.
@deltaunithink: I don’t remember exactly where it was said, it was way back last year, not long after the announcement. Come to think of it, it may have been at Halo Fest.
