I think the jets he uses in the teaser trailer will affect the gameplay, like the jets might be like in Half-Life were you use it to just boost yourself and will be nothing like the Jetpack in Reach. And were you are on (I’m guessing) a forerunner planet, it might be a essential part to the gameplay. Any opinions anyone? (Hopefully it will replace grenade jumps)

They aren’t jets, they are Zero-Gravity thrusters. Unless the planet has very low gravity, using these thrusters will do practically nothing. They may be an element for space missions or maps, but that’s about it, I think.
Exactly, they can only be used in low gravity environment or IMO as way to negate fall damage

Interesting, so it will probably be like the Long Night of Solacemission where its a one time thing, or they might make it more then a single mission. This might also effect multiplayer maps like you said.
I think there will be at least one 0-G map in which the gameplay will be slightly different, but in normal maps they will stick to the core gameplay with maybe something little added to it.
Just my speculation tho.

i actually like jet packing in halo reach but im not sure if i really want the chief using it though
Its a 0-G Thruster pack not a damn jet pack, it will effect gameplay when there is no gravity.
Like the other people said, it’s called thrusters which are for gravity.
