I always thought that the armor pieces on the tips of his fingers was not only an ugly idea, but also a stupid one. It would makes your fingers so top heavy, increasing awkwardness when grabbing things. However, it would make for a good slap to the face that 343 desperately needs.

I imagine it’s to help while clambering, which i bet puts a lot of stress on the fingers/hands. Just a thought.

Metallic alloy, rubber, whatever, it’s a rather petty complaint.
Its a small metal thing. Highly unlikely it isnt malleable. Ergo it wouldnt affect gripping things
