I want to know what you guys think of the new armour Chief is sporting. Do you welcome the change? Would you rather they left it the way it was? How do you think they’ll explain the change?
Personally, I’m not quite sure if I like Chief’s new suit. I doesn’t look bad or lazy in anyway, but I don’t like something about his helmet, chest and shoulders. I do think the change was necessary though, but I just hope they can explain it well. I wont like it if you just wake up from cryo sleep at the start of the game and you’re already wearing the suit, but that’s how it looks like its gonna be. I’d prefer it if you played a level or seen a cut-scene where Chief acquired his new suit, this would make the changes easier to explain and more plausible in my opinion.
If you watch the VidOc when they do a side-by-side of Halo 3 and 4’s Master Chief armors, you can tell there really isn’t THAT much of a difference. They just prettied it up for the most part and the coloration has changed a bit. The only major differences are probably the extra bit of armor near his stomach, the reinforced pelvic area, and the bulked up back where his zero-g thrusters are.
Otherwise, he’s for the most part the same. It’s really not a big deal, IMO.

I think there’s a noticeable difference in the helmet shape, especially from the side. And his shoulders are completely different, they’re not even the same shape - they resemble the RECON shoulders from Reach more than the Mk. 6 from Halo 3. And those bars across the chest look kinda ugly to me, but the rest of it looks alright.
Im not whining, I was asking people’s opinions. You need to calm down before you -Yoink- yourself. Read before YOU whine. And we don’t need to wait to see Chief’s armour, the screenshots are there for everyone to see.
I was little skeptical at first, but now that I’m seeing it a lot more often whenever I see I now think. That is Master Chief. So now I think it pretty epic.
His armor is really growing on me. I used to have a problem with his cod piece very early on, but it looks very epic and better than ever. I like how he has the the armor wrapped around his stomach/waist, it looks like ribs.
I’ve grown to really like it. But I’d love if there was a decent in-universe explanation for the change. Cortana can only change the firmware. She’s only an AI after all.

I really like REACH, I think it’s better than CE. AAs, YOUR spartan, the weapon. But I’ve never played 2 or 3, and everyone says they are, “What HALO IS”
