I was wondering exactly how old Master Chief is because he is in the Forward Unto Dawn series before Halo CE and Reach, when humans were still fighting humans? More specifically, what is his age at the time when Halo 4 events occur?
He’s about 40 in the original trilogy.
It’s hard to pinpoint because he’s in crysleep a lot.

Hasn’t been confirmed yet, but if it’s before Hale CE and Reach, I would say around 20 - 40. And Forward Unto Dawn is before CE and Reach?
Yup, I believe John was born in 2511…sooo that would make him in his mid teens at the time of FUD (crazy I know) and then his early to mid 40’s by Halo 4
FUD takes place during like 2525 or something like that, so yes hes about 16 or so during FUD…which is way before CE. Its the UNSC’s first encounter with the covenant.
Well, years wise hes about 40, but physically due to cryo hes basically mid to late 20’s xD

Yes, I would say he’s about 40…
In years.
But due to cryo-sleep halting aging processes, he would probably be about 20ish in bodily appearance and function.
My guess is that he would be somewhere between 14-16 years old (but appear older because of the augmentation that Spartan II’s went through) because the war started in 2525 and judging from the trailer (which I have only seen once so far) it looks like people there doesn’t know about the alien threat yet, suggesting that it is still very early into the war.

Well he was born in about 2511 so in FUD he is about 15 but appears older in halo 4 he is legally about 46 but do to cryo is much younger
the games never actually specify his age so no one officially knows,but the books make it seem like in the game hes about 45
alot of characters are older now, IE Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell), Snake (MGS),all older…not OLD but older

John did a lot of live fire missions at 14.
I’d say he’s around 50 around now, but that’s with Cyrosleep. I would say he has the body of 30, maybe late 20 year old.

John was born in 2511. His precise date of birth is unknown. He is 6 when Dr. Halsey visits him in 2517. Shortly thereafter he’s stolen and begins his training. He is 42 when Halo takes place.
Something to keep in mind, humans are VERY close to figuring how to keep ourselves biologically young. By 2100, we’ll probably have a decent understanding and the ability to begin manipulating our genetics to maintain youth. (All morals and ethics aside.) Admiral Parangosky is nearly 100 and in charge all of the ONI. This I think is used to illustrate that humans are much longer-lived 2550s than they are today. So it is not inconceivable that John could continue being a soldier for another 20-30 years.
He was born in 2511, so he’s either 45 or 46. His biological age is at least 41, considering he spent 4 years in cryo plus his numerous cryo sleep sessions that all UNSC soldiers take before that.
I think he should be around 46 in 2557, if I’m right
Technically he’s 45 or 46, but without cryo he’s probably around 35-40
