There are supposed to be a mission or two before Blue Team goes AWOL. The one that has been shown is one of them. Also Fireteam Osiris wasn’t created to hunt down Chief, they are created for ONI’s dirty work to finish off Jul 'M’dama’s Covenant. Also the station where Ben found all of the evidence was on Biko. The station in the mission, Argent Moon, is in space and is housing an ONI stealth ship project.
I believe the first and second missions are from Osiris and Blue Team’s perspectives before Blue Team goes AWOL, respectively.

I don’t think that’s true. The first mission of Halo 5 is Osiris rescuing Halsey before Chief and team go AWOL. Why would Osiris be formed to hunt down Chief before he even went AWOL?

All thats confirmed about mission order is that blue team is mission #2. In every game so far, mission 1 has been a prologue. I dont know where you got that halsey part, do you have a source?

I found this on reddit. The SDCC panel has been uploaded but I haven’t found the part where they mention it yet.
I don’t think the game starts with the team being awol I could be wrong however

Impossible. Before Chief’s first mission as well as after it Halsey and Jul are well and fine, not being tracked down by Osiris, who also doesn’t exist at that point in time due to Tanaka being a part of a team that goes to the Absolute Record several months after Chief goes AWOL.

The mission Blue Team is before Chief goes AWOL.
The Sprint for E3 showed the dialogue of a cutscene with Halsey on the bridge of the Infinity discussing with Lasky about Chief going AWOL. We have footage of Locke engaging Jul with Halsey in the background.
Meaning Halsey is recovered before Chief goes AWOL, which means Osiris was assembled and tracking down Jul and Halsey before being assigned to Chief.
Unless Halsey’s return to UNSC control is completely glossed over and ignored, which is extremely unlikely, and she is captured and aligns with Jul again, which is also extremely unlikely.
And Osiris mission happens before Chief goes AWOL. Osiris was assembled before Chief went AWOL.
