As stated by Frankie himself in this video it seems that we will not be getting a beta.
I believe that this can be disasterous…when you take a look at how smoothly and clean Halo 3 and Halo: reach’s multiplayer did on the first day its pretty safe to say that a beta would not be a waste of time.
Take Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 for example…the community was outraged at how buggy and glitchy the game was on the first day, some even seling it in the first months of release. Many other games have also sufferd the same bug infested fate as MW2 did.
343 please hear me out on this, a beta will not be a waste of time, your comunity, your fans, are crying out for a beta. We need hope that Halo can stand its ground against all the other AAA games in the indestry. I know I may just be one guy trying to save his childhood game from becoming…sob…mush, but if we all band togeather, we might, just might have a chance of having beta testing…

A beta is not only necessary for giving us a look at the new features, but it’s very important for stress testing the backend to make sure Halo 4 doesn’t bomb on launch day.

I agree. Plus we need to stress test the servers to make sure they will be okay for the first week or so of release. Even if I am playing Campaign that entire time, other people (lots) will be playing TONS of multiplayer so it needs the stress testing. Also restrain from bumping, I don’t want the thread to get locked.
The problem with beta testig is that too many people think it’s a demo and don’t buy the game based on the beta. Patches and updates, sadly, seem to be what’s best for new games

thank youy, its good to see some more mature people on thease fourms, its good to see people really care about the game and not about perks and other random crap
A beta is necisary even if it is for testing 343’s skills in this game to make sure the style is what the fans want and also you can’t forget hte bugs that will be destroyed in a beta

exactly, imagine this game coming out and its perfect, thats the power a beta has
