I’ve been playing through the Master Chief Saga playlist with a friend for the past few weeks. The other night I finished the last mission in halo 2, waited for the first mission of halo 3 to load, and quit to the main menu. The next time I went to open up the playlist i pressed resume and it loaded up the first mission of Halo CE. Not the first of Halo 3. After quitting out and going back to the playlist options, this time rather than simply pressing resume I looked at the options for both restart and resume. Under Resume it said all my progress was still there and that I was on the first Halo 3 mission, but when i press that option it starts up Halo CE. I’ve restarted the game multiple times and tried again. Still says I’m halfway through but won’t let me start from there. This is understandably a long playlist being that it is all 4 campaigns and I’d really rather not restart for a 30 gamerscore achievement since I’ve already played through so much of it. I know that not a lot of support goes to this game anymore and there aren’t many bug fixes, but I’d really appreciate if this could be resolved and I could keep all my progress in this playlist.

Ouch, I can feel your pain on this. I was just thinking about doing that playlist also. Now, I’m not so sure. I hope you get a resolution.
I had this happen to me at least four times before I actually managed to complete the playlist. Fortunately I still had a lot of achievements to get along the way so it wasn’t like it was a complete waste of time but still, it was incredibly frustrating, given just how many missions I had to go back and do again. I really wish 343 acknowledged the current state of the game a little more. I still have a lot of fun on the MCC but it still feels like it needs a bit of help.

I’ve looked into it a bit more and it looks like it happens when you quit out on the first mission of any campaign. So I guess if you’re doing it make sure you always finish the first mission of any of the campaigns and then quit out in the next one. But I can’t confirm this
