This is my second playthrough of the Master Chief Saga Playlist to get the “Life Story” achievement but just like last time, I saved and quit from a level of Halo 2 (this time Outskirts) and when I go back in, it shows that I’vde done 13/45 missions and it shows I’m on outskirts but everytime I click on resume, it makes me start back on the mission Halo. I have searched everywhere for any update or solution of the bug/glitch but yet to find one. It would be nice if anyone has more details of it or even if 343 will continue to update MCC to hopefully fix the glitch.

I’ve just been hit with this glitch, but I do have a ( rather crappy I’m afraid ) workaround, mainly for the longer playlists…
Load up MCC and resume your game as normal, then IMMEDIATELY go offline ( Settings - Network - Go Offline ).
Play till the end of whatever level you are on and then get the first checkpoint on the next.
Save and quit, then make sure you resume in the right place. If all is good then go back online and then save and quit again.
If it tries to send you back to the first levels of the playlist then quit the game and delete your save ( Press menu on the game - Manage game - go to gamertag Save Data - press menu - Delete - Delete From Console.). Then go back online and start up MCC. Your save will resync and you will be back on the previous level.
Rinse and repeat, but try another checkpoint on the problem level.
Like I said, not the best way of having to do things, but at least you should only lose one level…It would be much better if the Issue was actually fixed!
Will only work for singe player ( Obviously )
Since it seems to mainly happen on certain levels ( Armoury got me ) you may not need to do it all the time…If we could pinpoint which levels or checkpoints are the worst offenders we could just skip saving on them entirely.

Edit: The first checkpoint on Armoury after you meet Johnson seems to a bad one - It has kicked me back three times now.
My method isn’t perfect - My last save and quit was just before the warthog escape, and it starts me back in the engine room - But it is a lot better than being put pack to Halo!
So does anyone Know what other checkpoints are troublesome?
I know Outskirts for the first checkpoint has that problem…
Any word if this issue has been fixed?
