So I’m just sitting here watching a show called ancient impossible on the history channel. This episode is about giant ships that were built thousands of years ago. Pretty cool right? Well about half way through they start comparing ancient flamethrowers to modern ones, and then cut to a scene of a guy dressed up as master chief shooting a flamethrower. I know it sounds ridiculous, so I paused it and took a picture or two
But yeah, what is up with this am I missing something? Weird inside joke maybe? Sorry if old, I did a forum and google search but nothing turned up. You can watch it for yourself at around 25:20 into the episode, the app and episode are free with live.
I haven’t watched the show, so maybe I’m wrong, but this is most likely just a reference.
Wut.
Well, that show is nowhere to be found on the History I have anyway.
Thanks for posting.
Probably a Halo fan who also has a career in pyrotechnics that was booked for the History Channel show and modeled a safety mask/helmet on the Chief’s own helmet.

It’s just such a bizarre reference. When they said “modern flamethrowers” the last thing I expected to see was the chief going to town with one lol.

I could see that. Awesome way to sneak your Halo fandom onto TV if true.
Halo is real. We are just in the beginning stages of humanity. Long ago, Forerunners erased all sentient life within the galaxy and cloned us again. Why else would Chief by on the history Channel?
The flood will come soon enough, but when it does, I’m going to Canada.

The Flood can’t set foot in Canada. This is fact.

Join me bruthas!
Lol I have to find that episode! When I saw your screenshots, I just about died laughing! Haha Freaking phenomenal! I love it! LMAO
That’s pretty funny. If I saw a MJOLNR wearing guy on some education show - I would lose my -Yoink-.
I just saw it too, and immediately had to google! The episode is called “Greatest Ships” for anyone who is curious. I still can’t tell where the footage they got is from. Maybe “Forward Unto Dawn”?
That’s pretty good! Unexpected to say the least.
Im sorry, but I just read the title as “Master Chef on the Halo Channel” and found that hilarious.
Otherwise I will state what I think about this in one word: Weird
Def the Chief. Weird indeed.
If the Flood come, I want an unlimited supply of SAW’s and Beer.

Nah, that’s a toy helmet that you can buy in stores. Seen them in my local FYE.
It’s just a generic space marine and they just so happen to use an MC helmet because it was cheap.
Haha, that is awesome! Looks like the guy was just a fan and got a Mk. VI helm for saftey.
