Since Cortana “died” in Halo 4, most people seemed to think that chief will become a lone wolf. In Halo CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3, chief fights most of his battles with allies.(ODST’s, marines, elites). In Halo 4 he spends almost the entire campaign by himself. I can only remember a few marines in mission 4, Infinity. Will he team up with someone or some people in Halo 5, or will he remain by himself? In a way he was always a lone wolf because he wasn’t fighting with any other Spartan-II’s, but there was always Cortana and the Arbiter was his team mate in Halo 3.
I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking.
Are you asking whether or not he will get a new AI or sidekick? I’d imagine he’d meet up with Blue Team. I feel that John would reject any new AIs offered to him.

Thel 'Vadam is also poised to make a comeback. And reintroducing him as a playable character would likely get us Elites in multiplayer again. Two birds, one stone. And since ONI is turning into an increasingly corrupt organization, finding an ally outside of their structure actually makes a lot of sense.

Hopefully we will get to see blue team in the games. I agree that he will turn down any A.I offered to him. Some people think that he his trying to get the mendicant bias to become his A.I on the A.I chip he has in the trailer. Halo5follower on YouTube gives a lot of information about it.

Yeah I miss the good elites.
Technically, he’s been more of a lone wolf than in any team for a long time now. Bring in Blue!

I’m just going to give you a heads up there: Halo5Follower is NOT a reliable source. Most of what he says is speculation, not actual facts. If you want a reliable source of information, follow 343i or learn from your fellow Forum Members - not people like Halo5Follower.
there has to be a companion for chief as it did in the all the halo games, so there is a huge percentage the arbiter is going to be back or cortana will revive

Unless there’s some unifying threat in Halo 5 (the Flood?), the Arbiter will have more urgent things to worry about than helping John and the UNSC.
Cortana shouldn’t be revived just for the sake of giving John a sidekick.
Blue Team seems to be the most logical option.

John is first and foremost a soldier (well, technically he’s a sailor, but I digress). ONI has been acting on it’s own agenda rather than following the orders of Lord Hood. Because of his past experiences with Thel 'Vadam, it would be more than reasonable to send John to investigate ONI’s unlawful activities on Sanghelios. And now we have the UNSC and the loyalist Elites vs the rogue ONI. Just like that we can bring the Elites back with a conflict they care about.

I agree on that. However, I have a hard time believing she’s simply gone. Forerunner tech is extremely resilient. It wouldn’t surprise me to find that enough of her code remained that Cortana could be reconstructed if combined with the chip John has and a freshly cloned brain from Halsey’s DNA. Halsey actually left an audio log behind that can be found at the beginning of the level Requiem that says Cortana doesn’t fit the models for the lifespan or capabilities of an AI. And when the Librarian says that even the creation of Cortana was part of her grand plan to ensure humanity’s stewardship over the entire galaxy, I just don’t see our girl’s death as being as permanent as some may think.

Bringing other S-IIs back could be very interesting. 1-2 Elites fighting along with 2-3 Spartans would make for a fun campaign co-op. Though given that the current head of ONI is a former S-II and that the S-IVs are not under ONI’s control, I could see John fighting against Blue Team as readily as with them. Maybe even starting one way and changing up as the story progresses.

Yes I know but he gives good theories about Halo 5 and uses evidence to why they might be true. I never said he knows what’s going to happen.
