Aiken, in nightfall, says along the lines that a soldier in silence for to long, they start too ask questions, then get scared, then do what ever it takes to stop being scared, and ultimately ruin everything.
As aiken was a former spartan I believe this is 343 referencing and foreshadowing things to come for chief.

oh cool :D, I’m yet to read the books. I just found it cold how they’re kinda using aiken to express chiefs motives in halo 5.
I’m a bit confused as to what aiken was trying to say (haven’t watched nightfall). What does he mean by ruining everything?
