In the first terminal on anniversary, Guilty Spark says to the pillar of autumn “I must measure the level of your Gei before entry” as he says this a picture of Chief is shown in the terminal. Implying he was talking about Chief. Implying Chief has a Geas
In the mission Two Betrayals, in the beginning cutscene Guilty Spark says “More or less. Technically, this installation’s pulse has a maximum effective radius of twenty-five thousand light years. But, once the others follow suit, this galaxy will be quite devoid of life, or at least any life with sufficient biomass to sustain the Flood.” (Pause) “But you already knew that… I mean, how couldn’t you?”
And then proceeds to say“Why would you hesitate to do what you’ve already done” Implying Chief has activated the rings before. Implying Chief is Didacts geas, as Didact was the person who activated the rings (So we’re told)
AND THEN proceeds to say this.
“Last time, you asked me, if it were my choice, would I do it? Having had considerable time to ponder your query, my answer has not changed.”
Spark seems to assume that he and Chief have spoken before. “Last time you asked me”
When 343 says “What you have already done,” I think he means that Chief has already retreived the Index and has brought it to the control room, all they really have to do it put it in.

They are talking about activating the rings.
Then cortana says why Chief shouldn’t, Guilty Spark then proceeds to say “Why hesitate to do what you’ve already done” He wasn’t talking about the index buddy.

That, paired with when Guilty Spark said things like “Last time you asked me…” during The Library, it makes you wonder.
> This would also explain why at the end of Halo 3 Spark went on to say;
>
> “You ARE the child of my makers, Inheritors of ALL they left behind- you ARE Forerunner- but this ring, is MINE!”
I think this is just referring to the fact that Humanity is supposed to inherit the Mantle.
Hmm - but is it possible to pass a living person through their geas - does the composer not kill you (allthough it’s entirely possible that the level the composer will reveal this to us)? It could be one of those public broadcast gea things in Primordium - which compell Chief to open Didact’s cryptum. I don’t see why, if the person has to be dead, the Ur_Didact would want to release someone who clealy is going against forerunner longevity plans.
Halsey/cortana is the Libraria Reborn through a Geas ?
very possible, although a long shot.
The librarian defenitely has a hand in shaping human events so I have no doubt she has a hand in events.
This could explain Masterchief’s “luck.”, which could be his muscle memory from the Didact, or intervention from the librarian with a Geas to kind of give him a 6th sense.
