Game Informer just released an article that list the top 43 Video Game Redheads… I was surprised to see that Master Chief holds the #3 spot.

Do you guys think that this is just a screw up on Game Informer’s part, or do you think that this could hint to something we have yet to see? How would you feel about John being a red head?

thats not right in the books he has dark brown
In the Fall of Reach comics, John’s hair is brown.
On the Bungie Happy Holidays pic, the Chief is pulling a Wilson and is showing his brown hair.
Yeah, I always knew him as having brown hair as well… no idea where GI is getting this info from.

I thought he was indeed a “red head?” I could be totally wrong, but I believe this was stated in the Fall of Reach novel…
If you read the list, you would see that they were joking. They have Kratos (black hair), the Moon from OoT, “That character I made in Dragon’s Dogma that sort of looks like me from Dragon’s Dogma,” and other joke ones.

Nope. I just checked, it’s brown. But I swear, I too read that he was a ginger.

I didn’t gather this from the internet, I read the book…
Usually I thought he had brown hair and in the comics if I remember correctly in one of the books it stated he had brown hair.

Is it from the reprinted version of the 3 books? Cause I have the older versions in a box set. One of these: Halo Boxed Set 1-3 Fall of Reach, First Strike, The Flood
I thought Fall of Reach said he had red hair and freckles. That’s how I’ve always imagined him. It’s been a few years though, so I should probably re-read it.
EDIT:
Just pulled out the book and read “He had tousled brown hair.” Guess that answers it! (This is the 2001 version of the book, by the way)
