So, I ran across this article this morning regarding the Twitter Gaming account asking which character people would like most to come to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate title on the Switch.
Well apparently, the Official Halo Twitter account chimed in with a response.
How crazy would it be to see the Chief in a Nintendo title as a 3rd party character? With Xbox Live coming to the Switch in some varied capacity, it almost seems like this could be an eventual possibility. What does the community think of this? Would you support a proper and official Master Chief playable character in Smash Ultimate? I could already see a base moveset similar to when a Spartan was included in the Xbox version of one of the Dead or Alive fighting games.
I would love to see Master Chief in Smash. Even if he doesn’t turn out to be a very powerful character, he would immediately be my main. Haha
I think it’s plausible given that Snake and Joker are in Smash now, and you can now access Xbox Live on the Switch. I think MC on SSBU would be awesome and I would play the hell outta him!
I would play the heck out of chief if he does come to smash he definitely would be the most impactful Microsoft addition to smash hes the face of xbox
I don’t think he would be a good fit.
I mean there’s an actual legit chance it could happen. Realistically? No…but just the thought of Microsoft and Nintendo collaborating on something like this and the reception it would garner could blow open doors for future collabs as well.

Frank O’Conner has confirmed that Chief is not coming to smash. I think it would be awesome to see him included, but something that I don’t expect to ever happen. With H6 and MCC I don’t know when they would find the time to work with Nintendo to bring Chief to smash.
I’d probably buy a Switch if that happened

He could be saying that to throw people off cause he did that with halo 2 anniversary but he did say that about halo 3 anniversary but that was the truth but who knows
Pretty sure Phil even tweeted it would be pretty cool to see when it came up earlier in the year.
With all the current MS/Nintendo cooperation, it could happen!
