Well, it looks like 343i corrected their big (see what I did there?) mistake. I just noticed he has a cod piece on the new action figures.

this maybe going a little of topic but i just want to find out,
ok i’ve seen people talk about one of the reasons why MC’s armor looks different and they say armor can change on its own when the spartan is in cryo sleep, they also mention that it states that in glasslands which i havnt read yet, but if that is true and if thats the story 343i are gonna give to MC’s armor change for halo 4 then i think that is the most stupid idiotic reason to give not just for halo 4 but to even have that ability in the halo universe itself, its really a daft idea to come up with, it’s seems the kind of idea a kid would come up with if he was writing his own scfi story, to me it just dosnt seem a good enough reason, now matter how much logical reasons they try to give for that it just dosnt seem a good idea,so i hope this isnt going to be the case for MC’s armor change, i dont mean to complain or start bashing its just dosnt seem a good/smart enough explanation for it.

Haha… I really don’t even think it needs an explanation. The Mark VI design is 8 years old (Halo 2). I see no reason why they can’t throw in some aesthetic updates.

It’s not some visual change. Simply put, he’ll wake up with Mark VI and it will look like the way it is in Halo 3.

We don’t know that. Frankie has promised an explanation though. And it was just a teaser. He probably woke up in the armor for convenience of the trailer.

I’m pretty sure that the trailer is non-canon, and that Master Chief will wake up in Mk. VI and get the Mk VII later. 343i probably just wanted to show off the armor that he will have for the majority of the game.
