sinds there are videos including halo follower which say masterchief story is going to end. But would we like that?. What should happen to halo after that?. Do you know any info about please write it down in this forum. Or do you have a cool idea for what is going to happen after master chief?

Oh I think they will keep the Master chief around a bit longer I think once you see this forerunner thing finish you will see him in a training role for future Spartans that will have to face a new threat and we will once again get a real active campaign and a decent story line with all new characters. One more fact to remember is that the military life was all the chief ever knew he knows where he belongs and what he was always intended to do…
Personally, I think Master Chief and Cortana should get sucked into a black hole or something and end up on the other side of the universe, and should get an occasional spin off game that is generally unconnected to the main plot. Master Chief is Xbox’s Mario, he will never go away permanently. I’d love to see them build him a new setting for adventures from the ground up. No Covenant, no Forerunners, no UNSC, no Flood, just the kicking space adventures of the Chief and Cortana as they explore new worlds, meet new aliens, unravel new mysteries and face new threats. I feel like it might really help to recapture some of the wonder of the first Halo, back when it was all new.
HaloFollower is the epitome of absurd theories, poor research, bad proofreading, and misrepresentation of any kind of Halo knowledge. Their content, imo, sucks and it’s why their audience has shrunk and RUL has grown so much since the hype for Halo 5.
Does HaloFollower have any sources from 343i saying or at least hinting at this?
I believe that this story should end, given the direction the Franchise is taking before 343 do something that make those loyal to this game’s true wants and needs to grab their torches and pitch forks. Frankly I think that they need to focus on chief and then think about introducing new characters to take on the main roles in these games.
I would like to have The new Cortana vs Chief Dynamic with the included factor of who is more Alive than the other, an issue that was touched on and slightly developed in Halo 4 with the fear of her destruction looming over her and the Chief constantly pressing on and never stopping despite all that has happened. This could then develop into a more complex dispute between the pair during the game about which gets to decide humanities fate…Is it the AI, who felt more alive while she was on the edge of death, or the Human born and heavily modified Super soldier who has fought for the Human race, or more specifically the UNSC and is considered more of an asset that an individual human being. (This is some Blade Runner inspired Stuff here that could Lead to a promising ending to the duo’s over decade and a half run).
I would like to have a more Chief heavy role with the next game and Throw LOCKE out of the playable area to a supporting character like Lasky or at the very most to the same side role as the Arbiter in H3 since he doesn’t do anything to enhance the story of what we were told back with the beginning of 343’s Reclaimer trilogy.
If locke was to be a central character, make it as a separate campaign similar to ODST but make it DLC rather than it’s own game. To be honest that’s how H5G should have been if people wanted more locke then release content for him.
Anyways…like I was saying the whole “who is more Human and who is the machine” theme of Halo 4 was something I wanted to see return in halo 5 as we know what chief is, where he comes from, but we never see another side of him, we get slight hints that such a side exists with his growing concerns for cortana as her rampancy becomes more aggressive, but we don’t know how much this has affected him, he has now become a faceless soldier who has tuned out most emotion to cope with the loss of his most trusted friend.
Sergeant Johnson’s final words to the chief ring in my ear as I’m writing this now. “Don’t let her go…DON’T EVER LET HER GO…SEND ME OUT WITH A BANG”! THe first part is my main focus. The chief and Cortana need each other to survive. Cortana has been inside the chief’s head for an extensive time, they have encountered the Covenant, the Halos, the FLOOD and the forerunners together and it’s safe to assume that Cortana’s feeling towards John 117 are received but he still cannot accept her decision for the future of humanity.
I believe that the chief will need to stop her and be forced to shut her down or seal her away similar to the Didact, however. What the Librarian said in Halo 4 about bridging the Digital and Physical realms may come into play. Either turning Cortana human to brake her connection with the Forerunner domain and halo array, or making the chief Digital information to counter Cortana’s processes…fighting fire with fire as it were. the Sealing themselves away to prevent future generations from suffering the same fate.

If you remember it was originally Bungie’s thing it’s just Microsoft wanted to milk the franchise and created 343i simply to do so. If halo had ended on Halo 3 it would have been a high note.
I and in response to the second thing, there are people that complain about every little thing but there are those that raise important issues that end up getting bogged down under all the crap.

I want chief in the next game. Locke should be a foil character. Or chief locke arbiter and blue team move out and you can play as any of them. Buck maybe vale and tanaka naaaaa
