I believe 343 direction looks badass version of Master Chief.
Truth be told, I got over the Halo 2/3 version of Master Chief pretty quickly. His armour does not look all that cool. I much prefer the Halo: CE armour that looked bulky and powerful. He looks almost as good in Halo 4, so I’m glad of that. And thank goodness the helmet looks more like the Mark V [A] than the Mark VI.
Edit: Actually, upon inspection, the helmet carries more superficial markings of the Mark VI than the Mark V [A]. What caused me to feel that it resembles the Mark V [A] more is the variation of proportions. The Mark VI has a particular leaner shape, whereas the Mark V [A] has a more bulky, rounded form. His Halo 4 helmet is a bulky, rounded Mark VI helmet. I’m good with that.
Old chief looks pretty dated…the new chief with all that glorious details looks amazing.

The new Chief looks incredibly badass, especially since we get to see it in-game. I would never want to go back to the old one.
Have to agree they did a beautiful job.
I personally think this is the best iteration of the Chief to date.
H4 Chief for sure, gonna start saving up for a better HDTV to enjoy these graphics. Should be awesome!!!

I still lean slightly more towards the H3 Chief, but I gotta appreciate all the extra details put into the H4 version. I believe it’s still subject to change though so I can’t pass my assessment until I see the true final version, in all fairness.

I love the Halo 4 look. To me it looks very futuristic and bionic. Like a real super soldier!
Less bulky shoulders and the new chief is officially smexy!
I got to say one thing. I feel more of a connection with the old Master Chief. I also like his gazing visor. This is only because of the endless amounts of gameplay I’ve had with Chief.
I like the new Chief, but it’s going to take the campaign to mold my connection with the new Master Chief. It won’t be long till I absolutely become a fan of his look. It’s kinda hard to explain, if you get me. Nonetheless, I say Bravo with the look. I couple cutscenes will do lol.
I never really liked the armor that Master Chief wore, but I accepted it since that’s all he’s ever worn. Now that we see this, it’s MUCH better looking than the old armor, I really don’t even care if 343 doesn’t explain how he’s wearing that instead of his classic armor.
