Strange question I guess, but are there two different multiplayer servers for master chief collection players and halo 3 players? I have MCC and have a friend attempting to play multiplayer with me using Halo 3 (from 360), and I set my multiplayer to only include Halo 3 maps but we couldn’t figure out how to get him joined into my game. Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible? Thanks.
Halo 3 and MCC use different servers. If your friend is on Halo 3 on an Xbox 360 and you are using MCC, you will not be able to match. However Halo 3 is backwards compatible so you can play the standalone Halo 3 on your Xbox One and play with your friend on his Xbox 360.
