One of the best cut scenes of Halo 5 Guardians is Locke vs Chief.
Yeah, but I thought there would be more tension.
Eh I thought it sucked tbh. A lot of build up to almost nothing. Plus the fight scene was kinda bad too. The fight was so slow I thought it would be more epic considering they are super soilders
It was quite a terrible fire a fight scene between two Spartans. The attacks are really bad tactics. Why wind up a bunch and miss when you have a strong, quick melee? Why is Chief performing so terribly? Shouldn’t these Spartans be using their fast reactions and speed?
I just wish there were more confrontations, like advertised…
I think I was a perfect setup because to Locke, Master Chief was an outlaw and to Chief he was trying to find out what Cortana was up to.

I’m fairly certain that both were pulling their punches. Locke’s mission was to bring Blue Team back in, not terminate them. 117 was trying to get somewhere, and killing Locke likely wouldn’t have benefited him. If it were a fight to the death, the confrontation would have been more impressive, but that’s not what that was.

Even if it wasn’t a fight a death which I wasn’t implying I’ve seen fights from high schoolers that were more impressive than. That. Lockes mission was to retrieve 117. He could of easily fought better to subdue him. It was just a horrible fight scene all in all.

From a realistic standpoint, the fight was pretty bad. It looked more like two armored thugs fighting than actual duel between to masters of martial arts. As per being military elite, Chief and Locke should be very well trained in MCMAP and then some. They’re punches should have been blurs and their stances should have been rock solid. Instead they throw broad swings and tumble over each other like wet laundry.
The intro scene is amazing, I get goosebumps every time I watch it.

I agree but some parts of the fight where awesome, like when chief smashed the BR in lockes face breaking it into pieces ( BR’s are built to take punishments from spartans, to break one requires alot of strength) and the part where locke is on the floor and chief goes to punch but hits the ground, chief was not holding back on that punch.
but other than that yeah it was a fail.

it was good if you look at it from a marvel perspective and imagine its the avengers, but they seemed abit too good.
IMHO it would of worked alot better as an actual level, all the things that they do are possible in game, i would of preferred if it was me smashing through rocks and jumping through phantoms.
