Well Halo 4 starts off with chief waking up after a 5 year long nap, something tells me he is at least well rested lol.
you see the thing is, hes not drugged or temporarily enhanced.
his augmentations were permanent modifications to his body and his spartan armor is not temporary, as long as it has power (only frankie knows how it has its seemingly endless supply) it will forever be powerful.

he’s also wearing a 1 ton suit of powered armor that is designed to increase his strength, and if it’s designed the way I think it’s designed, or at lest the way I designed it, the chief could run all day before getting tired, lift heavy objects all day with out becoming tired, and to the chief, he’s floating around.
