Do I have to beat the campaign on legendary solo, or can I do it co-op?
I did it solo and go it, however some people still have problems getting it I don’t know if they’re doing it co op or not.
I have only complete Legendary on Solo so far (you must be online btw) and have it.
But Co-op should work becous it is an comendation that make you get the armour (online again) and it only say you need to complete thoese missions on legendary.
Not you must finish them on solo and/or Co-op.

I did it solo and got it, but contrary to what seemed to be popular opinion when I asked a similar question a while back, I think you get the armour based on commendation progress, and that doesn’t seem to be specific about doing the campaign legendary solo - it just says complete X mission on legendary.
Of course, you have to be online to get those commendations, so make sure you are!

It is a commendation for all 8 missions on legendary bar the prologue.
I did it Co-op.

i get t on co-op legendary.
I’ve completed the game on solo legendary… but no masterchief armor? 
Im on live so I should get it. If anyone wants to do their campaigns to get it I’ll work with ya. I only like having one other person in campaign with me at a time. hha
