There is a popular theory that Chief and the Iso Didact have the same geas within them.
In Halo CE talks to Chief as if he is talking to the Iso Didact. “Why would you hesitate doing what you have already done?” Spark also says in H3, “You are Forerunner.”
Another support point to this this theory is Halo 4. In Shutdown, the Ur Didact is talking to Chief (telepathically? Idk) and only Chief can hear him, similar to the Iso Didact.
What do you guys think? I’d like to hear from more knowledgable people in the lore of Halo. Is Chief and Iso the same or is Iso still alive?

It’s interesting how 343 Guilty Spark refers to Chief, but Master Chief doesn’t really act like Iso-Didact. Chief does have the imprint of SOMEONE, though. And I think we will find out in Halo 5.

If he has the geas of anyone, it looks like the Ur-Didact since he could telepathically hear him much like Bornsteller could when the Didact mutated him.
Ya if it was the isodidact, well Iso had the Urdidact’s imprint also, thus follows to the Chief since Isodidact was essentially a copy of Urdidact.
