Master Chief and The Didact are ying/yang

I kinda get this feeling that Master Chief and The Didact are the ying/yang to each other. They both are similar to each other, but are also different from one another, and 343 did an awesome job!

Well they’re both aging.

Of course, Didact has way faster reflexes. Chief’s not what he used to be…

That is true. Both are super-soldiers, though ironically, the Didact has more ‘human’ traits than the Master Chief will ever have.

More importantly, the Didact was a result from a very similar aspect: when the Human-Forerunner war ended, the Didact and his Warrior-Servants were more trouble to the Empire than they were worth, and were discarded and disbanded forcibly in favor of Sentinels and Builder Security, who were basically everyday Forerunners well trained and equipped instead of dedicated super-soldiers.

Sound familiar? Alike to the current situation between the Spartan II/III and their newer replacements?
The result will probably be the same. As the UNSC finally discards the Spartans in favor of super-marines, the Flood will come back in full force and easily overwhelm the UNSC. Thus, the Master Chief will be bought back and the Spartans restored, the same way as the Didact and Warrior-Servants returned in the Forerunner Trilogy.

Ah, yes, there is more than just background similarity…

Dude, they complete each other. Cue the romantic music…

I disagree that Chief isn’t what he used to be. His physicality is still the build of an Olympian in their 20s, but multiply that by about 7 times.

And, I agree with Dark Sweawm.

Voldemort should have just used Avada Kedavra the second he saw masterchief

> Voldemort should have just used Avada Kedavra the second he saw masterchief

Classic bad guy mistake.

I meant in gameplay.
