This is just me coming up with some crazy ideas. So if that is The Banished in the reflection of Chief’s visor in the new clip, then why isn’t Chief pointing his weapon at them? Why is the pelican flying away from Chief in the opposite direction? Wouldn’t it be coming towards him if he was about to fight? It could’ve just dropped him off too. I don’t know, just some thoughts. Let me know what you think about the clip.
I’m not so sure their allies, Chief looks like he’s about to put a bullet into Hyperius’ head if the mega consrtux set is to be believed.
It sounds far-fetched but I’m thinking in the second act of Infinite Hyperius will become an ally, much like the Arbiter did in Halo 2. I have no idea what the motivation could be this time around though.
To clarify, I believe Infinite will be divided into Acts. In Act 1 we play through a story similar to HCE, Act 2 will have us return to Earth… etc.
With the stance that Chief has, it looks like he’s about to charge, or something of that nature. That’s not the way he would stand if he were greeting an ally, such as the Arbiter. Maybe they will become allies during the game…? We pretty much know nothing of the story, so it can’t be absolutely ruled out. I doubt it though, and if so at all, that probably isn’t what’s being depicted in this shot.
It probably is just box art. A raised Assault Rifle would have definitely furthered the homage to Halo CE’s box art though.

Pretty sure the Created are a far bigger threat than an effectively decapitated intelligence organization.

The Chief looks like he is bringing his AR up to aim at the Brute more than anything.
The Chief could have been in the Wasp that got shot down and the Pelican is flying to get reinforcements. Who knows, really. It’s just box art doesn’t necessarily reflect what wilm happen in the game.
