I was just wondering how you guys and gals think the first encounter between the Chief and Locke is going to go down in Halo 5. Do you think it’s going to be a good or bad encounter?
I myself believe that the Chief will be carrying out his own desires as he tries to block out the pain of Cortana dying through means of war, and as he is leaving ( getting in a warthog or something) will see a strange and mysterious silhouette standing watching him as he leaves, causing the chief to question what just happened there. Then in a later mission the Chief will be again doing his thing and the scene will switch to a cutscene of him walking, but realising that someone is watching him, he turns around with his weapon raised to see Locke standing not far behind him. (Locke had not show up on his radar, in a sort of Spidey Sense moment where Spiderman cannot sense Venom. This can be achieved by means such as Locke’s armour being some kind of special armor that blocks chief’s motion tracker maybe?).
They will talk about who Locke is and why he is there. Locke will tell chief that he has been ordered to bring him home by any means necessary. This will cause a difference of opinion, which will lead to an escalation and the two will become rivals for the rest of the campaign until a greater threat causes them to have to team up with Locke abandoning his orders for the greater good. A friendship will emerge from all of this.
Locke kills chief, falls into a time trap later, becomes chief by putting on the armor he found lying in a ditch or something, gets killed by his younger self. Master Chief puts his armor back on, drops a mic, walks away.
Would be amazing. Watching Locke kill himself accidentally from the first person views. DRAMAAA
Locke: I’m here to bring you home…
Chief: That’s not going to happen. L: I have my orders Chief… so please come, and we can go home.
C: I’m not taking orders from you…or anyone else. Chief turn his back to Locke L: Then you leave only one way to me. Drop your weapons…Locke take out his BR, aim the Chief, but then Chief turn against Locke, to punch Locke stomach. Locke fall to the ground and Chief grab his neck and drag Lock on the ground and then lifts him in the air - meanwhile the door opens and Locke Spartan team shows up, aiming the Chief ready to fire
C: I SERVED LONG ENOUGH THE UNSC AND ONI. I’m lost too many of my friends…- Chief put down Locke and let him free - realized I can’t save them, no matter how hard I try. In the end I failed again, let the girl (Cortana) die because I was not strong enough to save her. L: You did your best …said that choking
C: The Galaxy filled with more powerful enemies, than you can ever imagine, and NO ONE will stop me to defeat them…Arbiter and his elites shows up
Arbiter: So you’ll need help to do that…

I really, really hope that chief takes one look at him and turns him into a pez dispenser. lets face it after his performance in nightfall I doubt he would make a good ODST let alone a spartan
