So I stayed up till 12:01 waiting to play halo 5 as soon as it released, only to be faced with “installing” which takes over an hour to get to 86%, at which point it changes from installing to updating and hasn’t moved from 86% for over half an hour. This is not cool 343! At all! In fact, it’s utterly unacceptable. The whole point of digitally pre purchasing is to avoid this nonsense. Any necessary updating could and should have been done before the release time. That was literally the WHOLE point of the halo 5 Xbox one console being released a week before the actual game, to give you time to download it all… Seriously. You guys had one job… and the tools to make this a smooth, easily playable game at release date have been handed to you [343] on a silver platter more than they ever have been for any other game, ever. A baby wearing a blindfold could have made this game playable at 12:01 with the plethora of ways you’ve been given to achieve that. It’s now 2am and I’m going to bed. Most anticlimactic midnight release ever.
