I love the Halo universe and I really enjoy Halo Wars 2. Because I am such a fan of your products and games I am sincerely asking that you guys please fix the issue with your servers that is causing tremendous lag in nearly every multiplayer facet of the game. Co-op is full of lag but playable due to the AI being slow, but game modes like Dominion or Blitz are not even worth playing. I can play games like BF1 flawlessly on Ultra graphics while watching Netflix on my other monitor, so I am certain it isn’t on my end. Please guys, don’t lose your PC players be letting this problem go.

The reason why is simple, low player count on pc.
2 day ago I spoke with someone who was my co player in blitz, he said he lived in Texas While I am from Belgium so no wonder there is crazy lag.
In blitz a card could take more then 10 seconds to play, also weird because a ping via speedtest to any Texas server gives me ±150 ms so no way it completely explains the lag.
I do not know why the matchmaking even considers putting players against such a high ping.
if no match found in reasonable close range just do not bother teaming people up.
I hope fix can be found if not multiplayer on pc is useless.
All multiplayer/Co-op game modes are unplayable for a lot of your PC players due to the lag… And it has been this way for over a week now… The BETA ran smooth, so something you did between then and now got screwed up. I usually play with my brother who is in the same house/network, but EVERY multiplayer game mode from Co-op campaign, firefight, blitz, skirmish, you name it, Vs AI or Vs players, lags horribly for me. In blitz/firefight it can take 5-10 seconds for me to play a card, and also for units to respond to the actions that I give them. In other multiplayer game modes, it is so choppy that half my clicks or keystrokes don’t register.
Anything single-player, be it campaign or Vs AI game-modes runs smooth on the highest settings (i7-3Ghz, GTX-970, 12GB RAM, SSD, Win-10 64-bit). If it helps, I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 during the free upgrade. Also note that it plays almost without issue on my brothers laptop (i7-3.5Ghz, GTX-1070mobile, 16GB RAM, SSD, Win-10 64-bit). A few crashes here and there, but otherwise beautiful on his machine. We are both in the North American region. I cant see the lag I am experiencing being due to getting matched against other players from far away countries, because it happens when I play Co-Op against AI with my brother in the same house…
Other issues with the game for both Single & Multiplayer:
When I start the game up, 100% of the time, it loads the publisher/developer logos, and then goes to a black screen for a solid 2 minutes before the loading screen with the ARK diagram shows up, completes its load, then goes to the press any key menu. The game works… eventually… (Note that it does not happen on my brothers laptop).
No clear way to unbind a key in setup, needs a note somewhere how to do it. - (I did read that it can be done if you hit the same key. Unbind V by selecting V again.)
In Blitz and firefight, Keybinds 1-5 replace your ability to group units into CTRL + 1-5 and easily select them with 1-5. (This can be solved be re-mapping the keys i think, but to have this as default… Doesn’t speak too well for your play-testers…)
When your base buildings are behind your mini-map, clicking on the mini-map clicks on the base behind it instead… (Again, play-tester failure…)
When trying to click on your mini-map, is is FAR to easy to accidentally paint a small selection rectangle instead, resulting in no action. When the mouse is over the mini-map, just make it go where you click first, always.I am sure there is more, but these are the most annoying and game-play impacting bugs I have found so far.
EDIT: Couple more bugs to add here. Not sure if they are related, but they happened in the same game. Very Frustrating…
As someone mentioned before, sometimes units get “stuck” and you cant do anything with them. This happened to me with one of the small fire-bases when building marines. It would be nice to have an option to “Retire” units and possibly get a small bit of resources back. This would ease the pain of having one of your units stuck and wasting valuable unit count and resources.
First time I have seen this, but a real game-breaker… This was during a single-player skirmish against 2 AI enemy. I saw that my units were dying, but my unit count was not decreasing along with them. I ended up with maybe 4-5 squads of marines and 100/100 unit count before I knew for sure something was wrong. I also remembered building 2-3 tanks, but they never showed up on the battlefield as far as I know. Paid for, but not delivered, and they took up unit count… I was also researching the upgrade from 80-100 unit count near the same time if it helps.
Lastly, this is more of an annoyance in coding rather than a bug… I was rushed early by the enemy team and received no help from my AI ally. My AI ally then decided instead of helping me defend, it would be better to take the 2nd base right next to me, along with the 2nd base next to its own start base. On a 2v2 map, that leaves me with no 2nd base unless I go take one from the enemy AI… A little smarter AI, that actually helps the player defend, and doesn’t steal the bases right next to them early game would be great… yeah…
Its very true the games MP is broken. Its not worth playing. Its extremely frustrating and maddening. You guys need to put in overtime like crazy because the PC version is literally complete -Yoink- on MP. I like the game but I would like to play the damn MP please.
I have played the game on my pc and xbox one. My computer is well up to spec, 32 gb ram, gtx 970. It is unplayable for PC in multiplayer, no lag on multiplayer when playing on x box one. Some disconnects on xbox one games. It is not the internet connection, it is just the PC version that is screwed up in multiplayer.

I agree with this 100%, which is really unfortunate because I like using mouse and keyboard better, and graphics are better on pc
you made us install a 40 gig update about a month ago, added only one map, and the servers are lagging like -Yoink-. lets go fix it, all of your Halo Wars players are waiting to be able to play the game we paid for.
