MASSIVE deadzones RUIN this game.

If you are having difficulty aiming, its not the aim assist like people seem to think. Its the massive deadzones. Small movements of the stick dont register, so when you do a light nudge on the stick then pull the trigger. The input doesnt register, and you miss your head shot.

The good news is 343 can change this, like respawn did in titanfall and treyarch did in black ops 3 (at least the beta). So twitter, facebook, vine, snapchat or whatever the heck you kids do these days and tell 343 to reduce the size of the deadzones.

The reason you lack aiming precision is NOT because of the autoaim, its because the deadzones. Get on 343s -Yoink- and make them fix this… because this is a massive problem, especially in a game like halo that requires alot of small precision movements.

I noticed this too. Could it be a sensitivity thing?

I’ve been seeing posts similar to yours getting a lot of attention on these forums… I experience something similar but it isn’t game breaking

Bumping nonetheless though, as this seems to be an issue a lot of people have

No the deadzone is a software setting within the game. It sets a threshold for how far the stick needs to be moved before the game begins to register input.

Deadzones are used in order to safeguard against wear and tear on the controller. Since the stick never returns perfectly to center, if you had no deadzone… then the game would register input even when you arent touching it (often called analog drift). Every game has to have some deadzone setting, the issue is this game has the setting way too high.

interesting, this issue is definitely something they should look into. I thought it was just me being bad that my aim was not doing what I wanted it to, could be both lol but I’ve definitely noticed this in SWAT where aiming those headshots have been noticeably more difficult than previous games

Nothing that can not be patched.

Agreed! Also having the same issues.

I’m average at halo, but this is kinda relieving. The dead zone is way off. It feels very stiff in BR strafe fight

They purposely screwed it up so people will buy Elite controllers.
