I was at a book store and i was looking around the comics and I’ve seen a comic called halo blood line and the story of master chief and it’s made by marvel! And I’ve heard the script for halo 5 is made by a guy who used to make marvel comics, that’s actually pretty cool to know, it’s really pleasant to see my favorite game has it’s own comics.
What would be more awesome is to see master chief on the big screen!!

They held the license to do comics for a while. Dark Horse has it now. Though that does open up the possibility of a comic where Hellboy, the master chief, and a predator team up to kill flood infected aliens.
Erm, no, that’s not how it works. Marvel merely had a license to produce comic books from the Halo series. I’m fairly certain this license only applies to the comic book market, and as such, Marvel has no permission from 343 Industries and/or Microsoft to make Halo films.

unfortunatly said writer is notorious for being a rather poor writer in the comic industry. Halo was about dynamic and epic story telling that mirrored greek mythos. Shame they need to rely on lore to understand the story so heavily, and thats all because he forgot the 1 thing that comic writers tell the artist, put a text bubble in to brief the reader.
As stated earlier on the thread, marvel did not “have the rights” to halo. They simply had to license to create Halo Comics. Since, however long ago that comic was made (pre-2012), Dark Horse are now officially licenced to create comics in the Halo Universe.
