What is going on 343i? What the heck is the marketing team doing?
I don’t mean to start a Cod vs halo sales argument but i will use it as an example in a busniess sense, becuase overall the video game industry is a competition.
When CoD release their first commercials in early september their pre-orders went up by 40k, simple becuase the game was being put in front of people’s faces. 343i the game is near it’s launch and i don’t believe you have been doing a good job marketing your game. You need to put this game into peoples faces, more people need to know about it becuase it will be such an awesome game.
Where are the commercials? Ads?
I know some things can sell themselves but when other companies that have games that sell themselves and still advertise the game just shows that 343i is getting lazy. They can’t wait for the last week to let the world know about this game.
4 of my co-workers that played halo 3 didn’t even know halo 4 was coming out but they did know BlackOps 2 was coming out,I had to tell them to get halo 4 instead, this is an example of why the marketing as been bad.
C’mon guys we can’t do the work for you, Give your marketing team some 5 hour energy orsomething and tell them to get their head in the game.

I agree completly. Forward Unto Dawn is good publicity on Halo but those people that aren’t that big into halo don’t even know what that is. They wouldn’t have the slightest clue what it is. I work for Best Buy and we already have Black Ops 2 midnight release cardboard things over our alarm sensors right at the doors. Halo 4 has a midnight release at our store yet call of duty is getting their name out there much better for black ops 2.
343i is already behind 2 weeks atleast. the doritos and the mountain dew area good tradition and good marketing but they can’t just resort to that.
We need ads on youtube, front page ads on gameing sites, tv commercials, more posters and stands in general electronic stores like bust buy and circuit city.
I saw a blackOps 2 video advertisement that i could not skip on a youtube video about halo 4, it pissed me off that 343i has not done this already.
How much does it take to market a game for a month or two? 3 million? 10 million? that is about .002% of microsofts money, do they not have some to share for their biggest exclusive title for over ten years?

Tell me about it
The EB Games I go to regularly have Black Ops 2 cutouts and stuff plastered all over the doors. Wanna know what Halo 4 has? A tiny little corner at the top right of the door mentioning the BR and spartan skins for pre ordering…
Not sure if you can talk about this
Moderators ahve eyes…
Seriously,343i are limited, very very limited, why they arent doing any marketing?I think they are thinking:Whoa, why are we going to spend money on comercials when bungie let us a billion of fans waiting for Halo 4 on the forums? We dont need to give info. to our fans, cause they are getting it by leaked info and official forums :GENIUS:
At least the Halo 4 trailers are epicness and funier than the BadOps2
I’m disappointed as well. Halo 3 had very good ads and trailers. Forward Unto Dawn can’t be their main marketing focus. For the average joe, it doesn’t tie into Halo 4 directly enough. They need to see Halo 4 and the Master Chief in action.

I agree. Waypoint videos are nice and all, but not everyone knows about it. The forums of many are what made halo 4 bloom.
The word got out, but just because people are spreading the word, doesn’t mean they should start slacking on marketing.
They need some commercial ads, and plz God, no more FUD ads or infinity e3 ones.
When are they going to make a legit multiplayer trailer or campaign. They need a BA CGI trailer. Most of the trailers they’ve showed were mainly on sentiments of working hard into game, which I think we really don’t need anymore. They are confined to YouTube as well.
Halo 2 and 3 had very extensive marketing campaigns here in the UK i remember busses driving past with the “Where were you when…” on the side of them, everyday hyping me up for Halo.
The marketing for Halo 4 has been really poor. I have seen COD ads in movies and on TV, gamestop has had the black ops poster front and center for months and have yet to see a big poster for Halo 4.
Also if you compare this to the marketing they did for Halo 3, the 2 dont even compare. Halo was everywhere then. Now, I never see it.
