Marketing campaign

Just out of curiosity, what is the marketing budget of this game compared to reach? I haven’t seen a single advertisement anywhere and everything is covered in black ops 2 ads, on youtube, vgchartz, ect. And now halo 4’s pre orders are suffering unlike the weeks during e3 where its trailers basically served as ads. I want nothing more than to see halo 4 beat cod which is totally possible because cod has peaked(bo 2 has way less pre orders than mw3) but it will all come down to who has the most marketing, so 343 needs to up the ante. That trailer in the movie theaters is a start but we need some more.

I agree. All over every single video game store, including GameStop, I’ve ever seen in the last few months is just Black Ops II everywhere. It makes me sad when there’s a better game they could be advertising.

And I don’t think they should advertise using live action. I think they should advertise using campaign and multiplayer with a cool Halo 4 soundtrack in the background. That’d sure show people how awesome this game’ll be. :stuck_out_tongue:

343 should really step up their game as far as advertising. Its like they are just waiting.

Isn’t FUD like an ad? That’s going to rock Youtubes socks off! Not to mention all the people on Facebook…Myspace…Twitter?! Halo 4 is going to paint the town red, and then some! Soon, all I have to do is drop the sound “Ha-” and 20 people will pop up shouting “HALO 4?! Yeah, I preordered it just a few days ago! My GT is XxXxgamerxXxXawesomepants! Here, take my picture while I stand next to this life-sized statue of the Master Chief!”
And I’ll be all like, “That’s no statue!” And the Master Chief will toss him out of my way while I continue with my rudely interrupted statement, “Has anyone seen my wallet?” But no one will answer…because NO ONE SHOWED UP TO WORK THAT DAY! Because it will be November 6th! And for some reason I’m at work instead of waiting in line at Gamestop! The end!

HALO 4, November 6th 2012! Woohoo!

There’s FuD, the ViDoc they might put in theaters, the ads on Xbox.con, ESPN, etc, and many other things.

I have no idea why, but that was embarrassing to read.

That is not enough.

I hate how Microsoft put more money into Call of Duty than their own exclusive. Hopefully they buy Activision.

This. Microsoft just doesn’t get it.

Honestly, I would like to see more ViDOC’s. Don’t know if that’s a Bungie thing, but those were awesome.
