Controllers are meant for accessibility and ease-of-use. Mouse and Keyboard demands more talent by far and by design.
While your wording tends to be pretty skewed, it’s not very hard at all to understand why you despise the use of controllers in the HCS. It takes an entire chunk of the skill aspect out of the gunplay no matter what way it’s spun.
CSGO has pre-defined recoil values, but it’s been confirmed over and over again that CSGO also has random spread applied to each weapon. Basically every shooter that primarily targets an MnK audience has random bloom applied to the weapons (not all, some have “hardcore” solutions).
MnK crossplay is why bloom is back in Halo since its only appearance in Reach, and I’m very annoyed by it.
High accuracy MnK always gets balanced through other game mechanics making it more difficult to hit your target.
Look at any primary PC shooter franchise that’s been around the block for a while. There are a ton of ways games have tried to address MnK laser aim over the years, but the ones that are basically universal now are
RNG bloom sucks, and is way worse than aim assist in my opinion. And I think games where everyone just zooms around like crazy just aren’t honestly that fun. Gun fights are basically impossible for casters to call in any meaningful way.
Not from my experience. Sure, aim assist is slightly there during these fights, but it’s not having near the impact you’re implying. Especially if anyone’s throwing jumps, crouches, and slides into the encounter which temporarily disable aim assist. You lose aim assist on a target for a moment when they crouch, when they jump, or when you jump. The only way to keep hitting shots is to match your opponents movement (or effectively keep tracking them with your reticule obviously, which is still possible without aim assist)
I don’t know why I’m even bothering chatting with you about this tbh. You’re obviously hardcore biased against controllers and this probably won’t amount to anything but you just insulting an entire player group
I am absolutely and positively hardcore biased against controllers. I don’t care if you want to use one to play casually, but once we talk about using them in a competitive setting, i’m out. It’s an absolute joke to even consider controller as a competitive form of input when the accuracy of them is completely determined by how much or how little the developer wants to give the player magnetism.

I agree that m+k is vastly superior to test skill, but the problem here is crossplay right?
Controller players set up against controller players with the same bullet magnetism would be fair, albeit an inferior test of skill compared to m+k simply because everyone with a controller starts with help.
Turn off crossplay, and we’re good again.
m&k players malding because no one wants to play with people who use wallhacks and aimbot on PC
I don’t get it either. I mean, I’m not a fan of twitch, so when I got the HCS coating I just turned the stream on quiet and did something else. If you’re just in it for the items, why ruin the chat for other people?
