mark VII.....?

so…uhmmm

did 343i ever really confirm John is going to be wearing a mark VII? if so…did they explain how? I am not really gonna look a gifted horse in the mouth…but still.

Also, How much better will the mark VII perform when driven by a Spartan 2?

We’ll see.

gee thanks…lol

Well, we know nothing about it and at this point, I don’t want to. Wait and see in the story.

His armor probably isn’t MK VII. It’s probably still the MK VI with new aesthetics due to 343i’s artistic direction.

It’s the same armour he was wearing in Halo 3, they just updated it graphically. There may be story reasons why some parts look different (but not completely different, most of it is just artistic liberty), but it’s still the good old Mark VI armour.

Well the suit has obviously been upgraded…

Cortana made some upgrades to his armour during the 4 years spent in Cryo Sleep. That being said, these upgrades only affect the Chiefs HUD and other subtle aspects.

As for why Chief’s armour looks different; this is purely because of artistic liberties taken up by the studio. It is not a different suit of armour.

I want to know if we will get the Mark V and Mark VI armour in multiplayer

No, hes still wearing MK VI.

No, they did not. For Halo 4, the Chief will be wearing Mk. VI. As for future titles, it’s unknown.

The Spartan IV’s are wear what’s called GEN 2 Mjolnir armor, which is based on the mk. VI design.

well the third question remains tho

Difficult to say as none of us know what MkVII armour is capable of. I also don’t think it matters which type of Spartan wields it - then again, im not sure if any particular Spartan type (II’s, III’s or IV’s) have better augmentations that might make a difference.

They confirmed that he wears Mark VI, though Cortana’s been upgrading it.

Spartan IVs wear Mark VII

They don’t, at least not between Spartan-II and Spartan-IIIs. The only difference between the augmentations for those two is that the S-III augmentations were much safer, but they had the same effects.

Seeing as how the Spartan-IVs were created less than a year since the last batch of Spartan-IIIs, I’d assume that their augmentations are the same as well.

Whether the modular upgrades to John’s MJOLNIR put it at pace with GEN2 are yet to be seen. Does it support tactical packages or support upgrades the way the S-IVs aboard the Infinity are able to customize their MJOLNIR? We don’t know yet.

It’s worth noting that with GEN2 there’s no longer a “Mark” designation for MJOLNIR. This is more as the project’s creator intended. So Mark VII is a misnomer as far as anyone can tell.

The Mark designation was used by ONI to designate different generations of MJOLNIR for fiscal oversight, even though Dr. Halsey and the project intended the changes to be incremental and modular. This is unlike the generations powered exoskeletons Mark I through Mark III – with which she was not involved – that had set the precedent for the nomenclature.

This is also why Mark IV is the first appearance of MJOLNIR and not Mark I.

I’d think that Spartan IV’s would wear Mark VII armour, naturally. However the Chief will wear Mark VI, at least at the start.

Thats what I thought but didn’t want to claim anything without the facts to back it up.

Yeah, I was just confirming what you said!
