Naomi-010 used MARK VII armor and i know we have the DECIMATOR armor which is a budget cut version, but it would be sweet to see actual MARK VII armor in halo 5. what do you think?
Decimator is supposed to be reminiscent of the Mark V armor from Halo Reach. I don’t know where you got the Mark VII from.

…I don’t think you get the inspiration part of the Decimator armor. It wasn’t meant to be Mark VII at all, far from it actually. You’re just reading too much into the flavor text.

I get that its visual inspiration is from noble 6 yes, but the mechanical and functional aspect comes from MARK VII.
Actually, you’re both right. The only visual depiction of the Mark VII was heavily based on the Mark V(b), with very little changes. Hence the Decimator armor looks like a “newer” version of the V(b), and is still a canonical Mark VII offshoot.
