hi guys you prefer for multiplayer start the recruit armor or the Mark vii armor?
Would love to see recruit again (maybe something similar), but maybe an extra set of beginner armor for a tad bit of recruit armor customization.
The Mark VII.
I personally like the recruit armor better and likes its canonical role as the starting armor for new spartans. I think a kool idea would be to only have brand new halo players start with recruit armor but if your gamertag is associated with playing any other halo game you unlock the the default armor of the games you’ve played. Mark V for halo ce, Mark VI for halos 2/3, Mark VII/Decimator for halo reach, and maybe even ODST for halo odst. Not sure what armors you’d get for halos 4 and 5 since you start with recruit, maybe chiefs version of Mark VI in those games? It’d be a nice little addition for veterans of the series and could even give incentive to new players to go back and check out the old games.
I know this is very unlikely but i cant help but think this would be really kool

It’s a nice idea but I want it to be a bit more challenging than that so maybe bring back the Vidmaster challenges.

I’m not opposed to something like the vidmaster challenges returning but i think using them for what were default armors in previous games seems like overkill, unless your referring to chiefs halo 4/5 mark vi since thats never been available in multiplayer and would probably be a highly sought after set.

Maybe but I suspect 343i will hold them hostage in loot box’s, which I really don’t like so putting them as unlockables would be better…even if it’s within the same game.

I kinda have that same suspision after how these sets were handled in halo 5, and i do agree having them as unlockables is a much better alternative. I just dont want them or any armor to be unlocked through matchmaking achievements or commendations since they alter how people play matches.
And just as a clarification i wasnt trying to say playing the old games would be the only way to get those sets, just that doing so could unlock them from the start if thats what you wanted. there should still be a way in game to unlock them.

Have to agree about commendations since it makes everything feel more like a chore, I’d rather enjoy unlocking my armours instead of grinding for REQ’s or farming commendations, come to think of it I hated how they forced this into the Spartan Companies…which means I have to trust people to not randomly kick players for their friends just so they can get Achiles.
As for unlocking some from the start then yes that would be nice.
