Wait…so does the Alpha in the armor name “Mark V Alpha” mean that their will be another one?

Try combining the Mark 5 Alpha armor with the Mark 4 helmet, It looks like the MC from CE.

A good Spartan does not need up to date gear. and nothing in the game says my Spartan has to be a 4 so I’m going off at the end of reach when I’m about to take a energy dagger to the face and the screen goes black what really happened is it shorts out and I just get knocked out and taken prisoner. Then after spending 3 years in high charity during the flood break out I make a few elite friends and escape joining back with the UNSC and they put my into the Spartan 4 program with the rest of the 2’s and 3’s (as stated in the books is what happened to them) So I remain a Spartan 3 that uses old gear because I’m that bad -Yoink-.

Well MK IV’s thirty years old and armor variants like ODST or Nightfall are based on weaker body armor worn by ONI and ODSts yet no one seems to care at all.

Yeah, it doesn’t look like the Halo CE helmet, that’s why.
It’s like Nightfall trying to be ODST but we all know Buck’s Helmet is the actual ODST design.
343 has this thing of making things be on their art style forcibly and it sucks.

No it’s not, The Halo 4 Mark V actually look accurate as the Halo CE one (With the exception of the under-suit)
Hell, The Mark IV actually looks like Mark V.
I love the armor, and the helmet is okay…I know a lot of people hate the helmet though…(I know it looks odd, but I still kind of like it.)
Are you guys serious? The Mk. 5 alpha is based on the ORIGINAL MC armor from 2001 and the one that you guys whant is the one based of the anniversary/h4 version, wich is completely different.

Mark V Alpha is a GEN2 version of the original. The one in game is not tactically obsolete. Straight from Canon Fodder-
"Armor: The Mark V and its product-improved variant, the Mark V , were the first Mjolnir armors to fully integrate shield emitters and sufficient computing power for an onboard Smart AI. The MARK V ALPHA is a highly configurable revamp of the original.
Helmet: It is unclear who requested an integration check for the Mark V helmet with the latest GEN2 architecture, but engineers at Materials Group have been surprised at the MARK V ALPHA’s near-parity with contemporary designs." And we do have the GEN1 Mark VI and IV in game, although the IV is a hybrid GEN2 and GEN1.

I’m guessing you’re unaware why micro-transactions exist.
I don’t understand this community. You complain about their being NO Mark V, 343i listens and releases it and you call it ugly. What would you like the Mark V look like?
