Why does everyone want Mark V? It’s simply not canonical at this point. The new armor system, GEN2, will not use an outdated MJOLNIR Mark V armor variant.
I really don’t see why they didn’t just include the armor from Anniversary. I don’t know, maybe we’ll get armor DLC this time. It’s a good way to make money, I don’t see why not.

Nostalgia, trust me i am a huge cannon guy, but i love that armor. If they could create a gen II of mark VI, operator and air assault. They could have done an upgraded version of V just a bit diffrent.
But the chestplate is really close, so i will just pretend.

So now people actually encourage DLC like that? Why should we pay for something like that if it should have been in the game in the first place.

It “shouldn’t” have anything; it’s 343i’s game, and they decide what goes in and comes out. I, personally, wouldn’t mind if they came out with an armor/helmet DLC package.

I agree. If they do just rip the armor from anniversary, or any other Halo game (whatever happened to GRD?) then it should really be on the disc. However, we have to draw a line somewhere, and from the looks of it it seems that there are already more than enough armor combinations available.
I would still prefer paid DLC armor to no extra armor at all. From a business perspective, it just makes sense. From the gamers perspective, the change is purely cosmetic, and doesn’t really add to the gameplay. If you don’t want to buy it, then you are still able to enjoy the same gameplay as those who do.

Well the chest piece IMHO. As far as the rest, think kind of an evolution gen II mark V, i bet if its colored green…
Chest piece plus mark VI shoulders… if only we had a look a like helmet…

The point of DLC is to keep the game as fresh as possible and to keep people coming back to the game.
