Maybe some MK VB armor still haven’t release in Infinite.

This model of Pilot helmet seems like finished, may it will be seen in future or just be cuted.
I just compared all of the ODST helmets and it looks like the Reach model. The visor’s geometry seems to be a little more sleek and similar to H3, but other than that it’s the Reach design. It has the same angles and details as Reach. I don’t know what to tell you other than it’s the helmet. At least you have an ODST helmet (2 actually if you wanna include Firefall for Mk VII), meanwhile I’m still waiting for the Military Police helmet.
Weird, everyone else I’ve talked to about it seem to agree it’s not Reach’s ODST, even the others in this thread at least agree on that part.
The last thing I have to help convince you of the truth is if you search, “ODST helmet evolution” and go to images there is kinda a line art drawing of all the ODST helmets, which does a great job showing off the shapes of the different games helmets.
Again, I think you’ll find Infinite’s looks most like the H3 design. Also, try to use a lighter coating that isn’t black to help bring out the lines when looking at it in game; that and the black coating doesn’t show the “stripe” on top which is super wide like H3s.
I’ve watched all of that plenty and I can easily point out one of the main changes to the helmet design. The forehead angle from 3 to Reach was lowered and then back section at the bottom of the helmet where you can see the small black break is wider. I can see 3 small differences between the Infinite model and the Reach version.
-
The vent details seem to be just a tiny amount larger. They’re covering 99% of the front piece of the bottom extension instead of 90% in Reach.
-
The ear piece section seems to be very slightly slimmer and I do mean very slightly. Given it’s a small piece anyway it is noticable, but you have to look at it for a while to see it.
-
The visor ridge detail is not as prominent/pronounced.
The color stripe is not a helmet geometry difference. That’s a coloring detail change that has changed in every single title. Overall this helmet is about 97% accurate to the helmet geometry of Reach with the acception of it having more small edges because this game has much higher poly counts for higher quality models. It’s pretty dang close and a perfectly acceptable ODST helmet. I love the ODST look and so does my buddy. He thinks the helmet looks fine too. I used the ODST helmet in 3 originally until I got the Scout helmet and used it again in Reach until I got the Military Police helmet.
You could say that it’s almost a blend of 3 and Reach, but it matches the geometry of Reach far more than 3. All the small part details match Reach too. It’s the ODST helmet. Now can we focus on putting in content that should be in the game that’s still not there? It’s extremely nitpicky to say it’s not perfect. They’ve had to 100% build this thing from scratch and got pretty freaking close.
Trust me I know some small changes can make a difference. The Celox helmet (Mk VII Scout) smushed the forehead in a little and it did change the side profile. It doesn’t look as teardrop and sleek as it did in 3,4 and 5, but does still have the same forward facing profile and look as 4/5. This recreation of the ODST helmet fits the side and forward facing profiles. It looks more accurate to Reach ODST than Celox to 4/5 Scout.
I don’t think you’re picking up what I’m putting down mate. I already said I knew it was nitpicky (literally used the exact same word) here:
I don’t think you actually saw the image I gave for you to reference, because it is pretty irrefutable evidence that Infinite’s helmet is much more similar to H3s. Not sure if I can post links but I’m going to try anyway (please don’t ban me mods

If you get the chance open up Infinite and get a good straight on view of the helmet, then pull up the image and really look at them and compare. Especially look at the sides of each model, the way the bends in the visor look, and just the overall shape/outline of the helmet.
If you still think it somehow looks 97% like Reach’s then we’ll just have to agree to disagree, shake keyboards, and be on our way.
