Mark V and ODST Returns?

Most of you like the Mark V, Mark VI, ODST, and different armors as well. Some of the armors were made by the Spartan II and Spartan III Program for Gen 1, plus the Spartan IV Program for Gen 2. Some of the Gen 1 Armors can still be used for the Gen 2 armors. For example, The Mark V was adapted for use with the Gen 2 line in 2558.

I like ODST but neither me or any of my friends use it so it’s not a priority in my book.

I got a friend that uses Mk 5 so I hope that returns.

CQB, Scout, Recon and Elites are my other necessities for Halo Xbox one.

They better not try to pull a DLC for them again. That was cold.

Oops, double post =)

Even though it was only for a few days, I only picked up Halo 4 because they brought back Mark V. The fact that it wasnt there killed me a little inside. My spartan? He wears Mark V, period. (Never mind they got rid of my favorite armor, and my emblem from the game all together.)

I would like to see both return, I mean really why not?

ODST is a cool set in its own right and supports machinima
Mark V is a cool set, a classic and just whenever I see it I think about far the series has come

Though If this poll didn’t include a “both” option I would have to side with Mark V

I just want my CQB to return.

I want them both to return but only if they look like Mark V and ODST the models in Halo 4 are an insult especially ODST or at very least the helmet.

All the armors from previous Halo games Excluding Halo 4 should return and in Reach style.

Mark V.

At the very least the “Standard” armour set from each game should return:

Mark V from Halo CE
Mark VI from Halo 2 and 3
ODST/Rookie from Halo 3 ODST
Mark V from Halo Reach
Recruit/Mark VII from Halo 4
Combat/Minor for Elites from Halo 2, 3, and Reach
As well, if 343i plans to name an armour set the same as one that appeared in a previous Halo game, such as Rogue, or Hazop… please actually USE the armour from that game?
There are quite a few unnecessarily changed armour sets. Halo Reach started the trend by completely changing Scout. Halo 4 followed with Rogue, Hazop, and Commando to name a few. And that goes for Shoulders, Pauldrons, Wrists, and Legs too. Scout Shoulders and Chest in Halo 4 are nothing like 3’s, same with Recon and EOD, despite those all having similar helmets to their predecessors.

Well, Mark V is for most intents and purposes perfectly accurate. The only real change is to the chest. ODST may cause some confusion, but only in the helmet, and only because it’s actually based off of the ODSTs in Halo 2, and not the onse in 3-Reach. I actually like it to be honest… Halo 2 is like my baby.

Mark VI was ok, but the shoulders were all wrong. I’ve taken to wearing Mark VI with Mark V shoulders nowadays just because it’s the closest I can really get to the appropriate frame of a Mark VII Spartan in Halo 2 or 3.

Also, Halo Reach butchered some of the armour a lot worse than Halo 4. The Mark V helmet and shoulders were both completely messed up in Reach. And there was no chest. Mark VI had a similar problem, you had to “settle” with Mark V or FJ Para shoulders, and there was no way to get the proper chest or knees. And just look at how badly Reach messed up Scout…

I don’t understand all this talk about the Mk V being inaccurate. IMO it’s the closest remake I’ve seen of the original Mk V from CE apart from the remake they did in CEA of course.

I’d hardly even call Halo 3 and Reaches Mk V an attempt at recreating it.

Halo 4s Mk V chest plate is great! It has the bulky back and FINALLY a chest plate that has the pouches across the stomach.

Maybe with the ODST helmet they should have went with the Halo 3/H3ODST/Reach style a little more instead of Halo 2 style but the backpack is worth it. That thing is so cool!

I liked the scout shoulders and scout chest from Reach. I want both the H4 variant, the H3 variant and the Reach variant for all armours.

The problem with the chest is the one thing that actually appeared on Halo 3’s EOD, and Halo Reach’s Mark V**, the two black rectangle stud things sticking out of either side of the main chest.**

343 you guys really need to bring the mark v back into the armory! I remember my inspiration for my name, for wanting to be a spartan! It was when i seen the spartan kicking alien -Yoink- in halo wars in the cut scenes !!! they mostly wore the MARK V armor and its my favorite armor !! very disappointed they don’t have it in the game yet… instead of buying it like halo 4 you guys should do something creative like beat all of halo 1 legendary or some achievement in halo 5 that’s somewhat challenging to do !!! like beat the Warden Eternal solo legendary at the end. when you fight 3 of him! If you guys could replicate the “Halo Wars” mark v armor that would make many fans very happy i bet!!! =)

they actually do have all of those Spartan armors except for the mark v and mark vii (current master chief). Mk v b is named noble. Odst crosses between helljumper (bucks armor) and nightfall. Mark vi is in two basic forms (standard and Gen 1) where Gen 1 has a cod piece (nut guard). Although 343 has some problems they need to fix in how their games are set up, the original armors always seem to come back due to popular demand.

ODST is in the gamr already. The Helljumper and Nightfall helmets.

Still disappointed at no Elite Armor, I swear it needs to be in Halo 6, The “War Games” idea sucks to be honest, we’ve never really cared if Multiplayer was “Canon” or not. You don’t sit there every time you load up Arena saying “Wow, this Arena has a great story.” Halo 6 or Halo 6: Guardians or whatever they will call it needs Elites back.

ODST armor could possibly be prescribed and viewed possibly an old as efficient for use only for drops .

hhmm … that would be interesting …
