Rocking the ninja turtle space diaper armor, It looks… interesting.
Why they decided to make the shoulders stick out like an elites armor is beyond me, but the lights on it look cool in game

They should have just copied and pasted their design from halo 4. It was perfect.

That would make too much sense

That was a different version of the armour in Halo 4. I honestly don’t know why people keep comparing the Mark V ALPHA to the finished Mark V that we see in Combat Evolved. The finished version of the Mark V was mainly based on its Alpha build but took some features from its Beta build (Mark V Beta was the Halo Reach default armour) aswell as visually improving on its Alpha version. So the Mark V Alpha IS NOT the same armour used in CE and the armour that returned in future games after CE (Halo 3, Reach and Halo 4).

I understand that, just REALLY dislike the shoulders

The armor, at the least, closely resembles it more than anything else we’ve had.
And honestly, the interpretation of the armor in Halo 3 and 4, and especially Reach is marred by stylism, but that is just my take.
Also, how are you so sure the “Alpha” designation isn’t to separate it from Mark V ? They do go out of their way to mention it in the description. I’m starting to wonder if those two things are hints, more than anything.

Because people dont bother to do their research. They see MK V they think its THE MK V instead of one of multiple variants.
I really dislike the Mark V Alpha, it looks rather horrible… The helmet is the biggest offender, but the shoulders are pretty bad as well. They’re far too large and wrap around the arms too much. On top of that, the chest piece isn’t bulky enough and the ammo belt is missing. I don’t understand why 343i couldn’t copy over their design from Halo Anniversary and use that instead, as it’s a far nicer version of the armour we know and love.
This is why I don’t want 343i to bring back classic armours like CQB, since I know they will undoubtedly screw it up like they did here.
I appreciate the attempt at recreating the classic design, but the helmet is way off and the shoulder shape is wrong.
I don’t mind the armour itself, and may end up wearing it for time to time, but the helmet looks to goofy to me.
It’s okay…
I like it. It is awesome IMO. Im going for it
