I got into a Gauss warthog and a marine drove off a stupid cliff and killed us both!
WHY DO THEY STILL NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE!?
The Spartans drove okay the one time I had them in a warthog. Though, I’m pretty sure Chief got whiplash.
I seriously don’t know why the friendly AI in Halo cannot drive a vehicle straight. I’m willing to be it’s become a running gag for the developers.
More importantly, why can’t the marines shoot straight BEFORE their target has already put six or seven suppressor rounds into their torso?
Why is it that their favorite targets are dead crawlers?
Get it together, men. You are the best soldiers in the UNSC aside from Spartans.

Despite being just as flimsy and weak back then as they are now, you can’t say they didn’t shoot straight.
And UNTIL REACH, I very rarely if ever saw Marines firing on corpses for prolonged periods.
That’s pretty bad considering Troopers/Marines in Reach actually at least got you from point A to point B. Kat on the other hand…did not. I bet they copied and pasted her AI.
Because they accidentally got stuck in Stormtrooper training.
Allies get dumber the higher your difficulty is.
Thankfully, they give you right of way when you want their vehicle. So just always be the driver when you have AI companions. Works for me.
I do have the occasional problem where they refuse to get in the gunner seat though.

This is exactly why people kill the A.I Marine’s so often, they can’t drive… won’t stop or let you in and will in some case’s run you over.
This is why since Bungie it’s been an epic tradition to slaughter fellow A.I. team member’s.

You want frustrations, give one a Binary Rifle and see what happens when he shoots dead enemy bodies
yeah no joke, the marines are terrible drivers. The storm/covenant on the other hand always have good drivers it feels like. Especially in wraiths

They drove me around on Spartan Ops for a good while the other day while I manned the turret. I was scared they were going to drive me straight into death but it went well.
Marines were never meant to drive in Halo. They were meant to man the turret. Had one of them drive in Reclaimer and they drove into Wraiths -_-
I know they drive crap, but I like them at their state because I can watch funny shenanigans XD
It’s funny how there’s 10 instances that I can count where a Marine got in my line of fire while I was working the turret. Both on this weeks episode of Spartan Ops and in the mission Infinity in the campaign. I remember the last time they did that, and here’s how it went.
(Commander Jaller walks into a hallway with Marines fighting some Covies, one on a turret, and failing miserably at combat efficiency)
Commander Jaller: Find your own turret, let me show you how it’s done!
(Commander Jaller immediatly begins to slaughter the enemy troops, then the Marine just walks in front of his line of fire and getting a bunch of lead in his back)
Marine #2: WTF!?!?!?
Commander Jaller: Facepalm -_-
